How long is a pickup truck?

The length of a pickup truck depends on its size, as well as cab and bed configurations. Here are the general stats for Canyon, Sierra and Sierra Heavy Duty:

The curb weight of a truck can vary depending on the type of truck and how it is configured, but here are the basics:

What is a heavy-duty truck?

The commonly accepted industry standard is that a pickup with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating* over 8,500 lbs. is considered heavy duty.

What is towing and trailering in relation to a truck?

Towing and trailering are the same thing. It is the ability of the truck to pull a trailer.

What does hauling mean with regard to a truck? Which GMC trucks are good for hauling?

Hauling/payload is the ability of the truck to transport cargo in the bed of the truck. All GMC trucks are capable of hauling and towing. Max payload and towing numbers for GMC trucks are as follows:
