GETTING THE VERY FIRST HUMMER EV

On March 27, the very first GMC HUMMER EV—VIN 001— went on the auction block at Barrett-Jackson, the world’s greatest collector car auctions. When the hammer fell, the very first world’s first all-electric supertruck sold to the highest bidder for $2.5 million. One hundred percent of the proceeds went directly to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation to aid our wounded veterans. Talk about a win-win.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation was named for the path Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter, took on 9/11 to save those trapped in the towers of the World Trade Center.
