SUPER CRUISE® WINS MOTORTREND BEST HANDS-FREE DRIVING TECH
Super Cruise connected by OnStar®
Super Cruise uses real-time cameras, sensors, GPS and precision LiDAR map data to maintain control of the vehicle under certain conditions on compatible roads. It gives drivers the freedom and convenience of going hands-free while being confidently centered in their lanes by “keeping the car between lane lines, managing speed and steering through curves,” in MotorTrend’s words.
MotorTrend also appreciated the Driver Attention System, which consists of a camera integrated on top of the steering column and infrared emitters integrated into the steering wheel. "Between the icons on the dash, the illuminated bar on the steering wheel, and (on some models) the vibrating seat, Super Cruise makes it abundantly clear when it has the helm and when it needs the driver to take over."
MotorTrend went as far as to say, “We trust Super Cruise.”
In determining the winners of their Best Tech awards, MotorTrend evaluators looked for innovation, a good user experience, usefulness, value, and a regard for safety and privacy. And according to them, “Super Cruise is stronger in all those criteria than any other ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) you can buy today.” Read their full article here.
