Symptoms and Help Topics

My Power Tonneau is stuck/won’t open or close

I need to recalibrate my Power Tonneau

Power Tonneau is slow, noisy or not opening and closing smoothly

MY POWER TONNEAU IS STUCK/WON’T OPEN OR CLOSE

  1. Any time the vehicle battery is disconnected, you will need to recalibrate the tonneau. Recalibration instructions are explained in the next section.
  2. Make sure the emergency release button (motor clutch) is pulled out completely at the end of travel.
  3. Make sure your vehicle is unlocked. The Power Tonneau only operates when the passenger doors are unlocked.
  4. Make sure there are no obstructions or objects along the bed cover slats and side rail tracks, such as dirt or ice. If the tonneau detects objects in its path, it will stop opening or closing. You can also remove debris from inside the canister by opening the inspection covers and cleaning the inside with a hose. How to recalibrate after cleaning is explained in the next section.
  5. Verify the wire harnesses on the tonneau cover are all fully engaged to connection points. On the tonneau cover canister, there are four connections on the sides and two in the back.
  6. If the lights in the truck bed do not light up, remove the power fuse located to the lower left of the dashboard for 5 seconds. Reinstall the fuse and recalibrate the tonneau as explained in the next section. Replace the fuse if the lights do not come on during recalibration.

I NEED TO RECALIBRATE MY POWER TONNEAU

  1. Unlock your vehicle and open the tailgate. Make sure there are no obstructions in the pickup bed that could interrupt the opening and closing of the cover. Make sure your vehicle is parked on a level surface while calibrating.
  2. Double-check that the vehicle doors are unlocked and open the driver door. This will prevent accidental auto-locking during calibration.
  3. Press and hold both buttons on the Electric Roller Cover rail for 10 seconds. The buttons are located on the left bed rail, all the way back towards the tailgate.
  4. The cover will open and close TWICE automatically.
  5. You’ll see a light in the pickup bed flash during calibration. When it stops pulsing, calibration is complete.

POWER TONNEAU IS SLOW, NOISY OR NOT OPENING AND CLOSING SMOOTHLY

  1. Make sure there are no obstructions along the roller cover’s slats or in the truck bed. Obstructions may include ice, snow, dirt, rocks or sand depending on your driving conditions.
  2. If there are no obstructions, recalibrate the Power Tonneau using the steps above.
  3. If the bed lights are flickering and the tonneau is slow to close, your vehicle battery may be low. Check the battery condition before continuing in this case.
  4. If you haven’t used the tonneau in a while, it may make a thumping sound when first opening or closing. This is normal.
  5. If problems persist, see the instruction booklet that came with the tonneau cover for detailed instructions on maintenance and troubleshooting.

Q&As

Why can't I make a Bluetooth call?

There are several factors that may affect your Bluetooth call performance. A problem may be caused by your phone’s or vehicle infotainment system’s software. Be sure you have the latest software version for your phone. If you’ve updated your phone and are still experiencing Bluetooth calling concerns, try deleting your phone’s pairing and then pairing it again

My Bluetooth calls are breaking up or sounding distorted.

Your calls may break up or sound distorted for the following reasons:

• The cellular signal is weak in your location

• Other Bluetooth activity running in the background on your phone, such as searching the phone book or downloading a message

• Other Bluetooth devices in the vehicle are paired with your phone. If the problem continues when you have a strong signal or when you’re sure there’s no other Bluetooth activity interfering, you may need to try deleting your phone from the paired devices list on your vehicle touchscreen and then pairing it again
