VETERANS TAKE HUMMER EV FOR A SPIN

Recently, GMC partnered with GM Defense to welcome leaders and members of Warrior Rising—a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping U.S. military veterans achieve success in business through partnerships, mentoring, and economic assistance—to experience the GMC HUMMER EV pickup and SUV firsthand.

More than 30 veterans made the trip out to the Milford Proving Grounds for the ride and drive event. The course featured both on- and off-road sections to give a complete picture of the vehicle’s capabilities and handling.

Participants got to experience the available Watts to Freedom mode, which delivers a GM-estimated 0–60 mph time of 3 seconds* and an available GM-estimated 1,000 horsepower*. They also explored several features included with the Extreme Off-Road Package, such as Mud Tires, 35" Beadlock-capable Wheels, Underbody Cameras, Reinforced Skid Plates, and Rocker Protectors. Features which made traversing the rugged conditions easy.

Speaking about the event, GM Defense Vice President of Government Services and Strategy, John Johnson noted “These veterans are an extension of the important community that we serve. We appreciate opportunities to align our team with the values demonstrated by those in the U.S. military, including patriotism, commitment, and integrity.”

GMC is continuously building lasting connections with U.S. servicemen and women. From offering the strongest military discount in the industry to actively hiring veterans and assisting employees, dealers and communities in partnering with key organizations, GMC is committed to those who have served.
